What the job involves

  • As we continue to expand, we are looking for an exceptional leader to lead the Data Analytics and Engineering team. You will report directly to the CTO and own the entire Metropolis data platform - including the Data Engineering platform and the Business Intelligence systems used to visualize the data
  • You will be a strategic partner to senior leaders across the company. You will rely on your expertise with OLAP and OLTP data systems to ensure that the data platform is architected in a way that evolves with the needs of the business
  • You will support scaling our data infrastructure to support the next generation of AI products that we are building, and you will play a key role in the design and architecture of the evolving platform
  • You will lead the execution of our commercial data product that will be a key driver in positioning Metropolis as the thought leader in mobility-related analytics. Your strong foundational data skills will give you the ability to translate insights into information that is actionable to a wide range of stakeholders, across different levels of technical expertise
  • You’ll join a team of world-class product and engineering leaders, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice, and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows
  • Own and drive the full cycle of the analytics workflow, from the data platform architecture to data collection from internal and external sources to analysis and visualization
  • Own the flow of data across various systems and applications and work with the teams across Engineering and Product to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Drive thought leadership in collaboration with Product, Operations and Sales teams to commercialize the Metropolis data analytics
  • Build an external facing Metropolis analytics product that would provide our clients and partners with actionable insights that align with their goals
  • Recruit, manage, mentor, and grow a talented team of directors, managers, analysts, and data engineers
  • Work closely with the Product, Operations, Finance, and Sales teams in developing data products to power personalization, optimize conversion rates, analyze field research data and increase revenue
  • Own the end-to-end performance of the data analytics and engineering platform. Lead the development of a data platform that ensures that reports meet page load SLA’s, regardless of the level of report customization and data growth
  • Own the Data Ops function and develop a strategy that ensures data accuracy and consistency
  • Develop a set of monitoring systems that would proactively alert key stakeholders when there are issues with the data

Our take

Driven by computer vision and AI technology, Metropolis offers a seamless parking and checkout experience by turning cars into wallets. This eliminates the need for physical tickets and pay machines, allowing property owners to maximise the financial performance of their parking assets and offer a modern service to customers.

Metropolis aims to revolutionise parking by integrating future mobility solutions, such as autonomous vehicle deployment, charging stations, and eVTOL infrastructure. Its approach includes dynamic pricing to optimise revenue during demand surges.

Co-founded by Alex Israel, a former ParkMe founder, the company has expanded rapidly following a $167M Series B fundraise and partnerships with Premier Parking and Uber. The company's recent acquisition of SP Plus Corporation, funded by a $1.8 billion investment, positions it as a leader in AI-driven mobility solutions. As a pioneer in its category, Metropolis continues to push the boundaries of parking and mobility technology.
