Who you are

  • 1+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role
  • Experience in the B2B SaaS industry
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quota
  • Ability to quickly learn the needs of customers we sell to i.e. conduct meetings and write detailed emails that are personalized to customer needs

What the job involves

  • We are seeking a Senior Sales Development Representative to join our fast-paced team and take our sales efforts to the next level!
  • As a Senior Sales Development Representative, you will be a critical member of Rutter’s Go-To-Market team and be directly responsible for identifying and generating new sales opportunities, nurturing leads, and building relationships with potential clients
  • You’ll be working with a veteran GTM team, whose team members have previously built GTM functions from $1M through IPO
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and nurturing new sales opportunities and working closely with our sales and marketing teams to develop and execute target outreach campaigns and strategies
  • Create concise high quality messages that accurately reflect Rutter’s product offering and are up-to-date with latest learnings on what resonates with prospects for both outbound and inbound motions
  • Focus on our newest product line: Accounting Integrations. You will become a subject matter expert in accounting workflows, ERP integrations, API design, and ultimately how we deliver organizational value for our customers
  • Take a consultative selling approach by educating and advising customers on their e-commerce and accounting workflows
  • Work closely with Product, Ops, and Engineering teams to share customer feedback and insights to build the best quality product
  • Help contribute to the overall Go-To-Market strategy by making recommendations and presenting new ideas

Our take

Rutter is on a mission to enable new commerce experiences. The company offers a universal API for reading and writing data across different commerce platforms. In doing so, it accelerates the development of new commerce and financial services by removing the complexities of dealing with different eCommerce storefronts, payment processors, and accounting systems.

As an example, if a company wanted to serve merchants and SMBS across Shopify, Amazon, and BigCommerce, they would have to build integrations for each platform one at a time. Rutter’s API removes the need to do so, saving valuable engineering hours and maintenance costs.

In 2022, the company received funding to accelerate its progress in becoming the infrastructure for the world’s commerce applications, investing in scaling out its engineering and go-to-market teams in preparation for expansion. With this in mind, it can be expected the company will be seeking growth soon, and it will be interesting how it sets about these expansion efforts in the coming years.
