Who you are
- Fast learner, A-player, excellent work ethic, and ambitious
- 2-4 years of experience in a tech company or in a fast-growing startup
- BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience writing production code in Python, Java
- Ability to identify and resolve bugs and issues
- Kafka/Spark/Databricks experience
- Experience with AWS

What the job involves
- Design and implement scalable big data pipelines (streaming and batch) and leverage data storage
- Implement the best practices for database architecture
- Build highly reliable tables combining and transforming data across multiple sources, including high-frequency sensors data
- Develop and deploy high-quality data tools using modern tools and frameworks
- Provide input on all aspects of product development from brainstorming to final delivery
- Welcome new challenges and work independently across disciplines to investigate issues and identify solutions
- Can effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and capture data requirements from stakeholders
- Will champion data integrity and quality efforts
