Role
Who you are
- This role is ideal for a developer with a solid foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, who is eager to grow and contribute to a dynamic team
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required; relevant experience, bootcamp graduation with a strong portfolio will also be considered
- 2+ years of experience in frontend development, with a focus on JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Familiarity with modern Frontend / React tools, e.g. Tanstack (React) Query, Zustand and Tailwind
- Experience with charting and/or data visualisation libraries
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Understanding of basic backend concepts and RESTful APIs
- Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in UI/UX design
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- An interest in the virtual world, gaming, or technology industries
- Enthusiasm for working in a high-growth, dynamic environment

- Our Engineering team plays a critical role developing and refining the GEEIQ data platform that helps and empowers our clients—from major brands to emerging players in various industries— to navigate the complexities of the metaverse
- The GEEIQ engineering team is extremely collaborative, working together to not only build a great platform, but also a great team. Every member of the team has valued input and can help make us the best engineering team possible
- GEEIQ engineering is on a mission to transform raw data into digestible and actionable strategies, helping brands become intrinsic parts of virtual environments, seamlessly integrating and engaging with diverse virtual audiences
- As a Front End Engineer at GEEIQ, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining user-friendly and responsive web applications
- You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to implement innovative solutions that enhance the user experience
- Build and maintain user interfaces with an understanding of handling data from backend services, responsive design and optimising performance across browsers
- Work with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code, including an upcoming upgrade on our design system
- Ensure seamless integration with backend services
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers and backend engineers, to deliver new features and improvements
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to team discussions, and support your peers in continuous learning and development
- Actively seek feedback and opportunities for growth, and be open to learning new technologies and methodologies
- Develop and optimise frontend components using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Implement designs and collaborate with the engineering team to deliver high quality end user experiences with a focus on data visualisation
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend services
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code and improve team performance
- Continuously improve your skills and stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices
