  • Deep existing relationships with the partner organizations within global cloud providers
  • Experience accelerating, maturing, and expanding existing partnerships and building and operating in global markets
  • Demonstrated operational experience managing partner co-sell and influence pipelines
  • A conscious leadership style focused on a win together mentality
  • Leaders across product, finance and sales
  • Data driven mindset with strong analytical skills to constantly measure KPI’s around pipe-gen, marketing, deal reg, accreditations and certifications
  • Track record of beating revenue based quotas

What the job involves

  • The Global Alliance Team is part of Okta’s Revenue Organization. We manage the largest and most complex relationships from Cloud Marketplaces, Resellers, Distributors and Systems Integrators with a laser focus on driving sales and deployments of Okta’s software
  • The Director, Cloud Alliances will lead our efforts to cultivate relationships at leading cloud providers, develop and drive marketing and co-sell programs and grow our field sales engagement across EMEA
  • Our Cloud strategy is integral to our entire GTM plans across EMEA, so this role will work very closely with our regional sales leadership, regional marketing and Alliances teams
  • Build & nurture meaningful relationships with Cloud partners to execute Okta’s GTM co-sell strategy
  • Own and execute on a joint annual business plan with your Cloud partners driving towards key metrics and outcomes
  • Create repeatable, scalable co-sell programs and initiatives that meet the needs of the EMEA market
  • Align closely with Okta’s regional sales leadership to execute co-sell initiatives and customize based on unique in-country needs
  • Identify unique marketing strategies with Okta’s regional marketing and partner marketing team with your Cloud partners
  • Expand and evolve Okta’s operational effectiveness with Marketplaces in alignment with Okta’s Ops and field orgs to ensure we can capitalize on our growth
  • Lead with purpose and collaboration ensuring that the CSP team continues to meet and exceed goals

Our take

Okta started off as an identity company where organisations, large and small, could tap into the company to have a single sign-on interface to access all cloud applications now centralised. Okta has since expanded to provide identity management at the device as well as the server level.

The new approach towards network security is increasingly based on identification and authentication, and Okta is on track to become the go-to vendor in the space. They aim to do so by developing products that enable people to access applications and other tools more smoothly and securely than ever before.

Okta has taken strides towards expansion through significant employee growth and shuffling executive leadership. The company has also made lateral moves such as tackling governance concerns, opening up new paths for revenue.
