Who you are

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a strong focus on user growth
  • Prior experience driving user acquisition and organic growth for consumer products with millions of customers is required

What the job involves

  • As a Staff Product Manager on the Growth team at EarnIn, you'll play a crucial role in driving our mission - reinventing the financial system and helping our community members get to a better place financially.
  • You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive user growth through various growth levers, focusing on organic acquisition and activation.
  • You will own the strategy & roadmap for your team, leverage data-driven insights, and work cross functionally to optimize the user journey from acquisition to activation and beyond
  • Maintain a constant pulse on our community members to understand their needs and the problems they face in solving those needs
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract new users. Utilize data analytics and user research to identify growth opportunities, measure success, and iterate
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, engineering, design, and analytics teams to execute growth initiatives and optimize our organic growth channels including SEO, content marketing, and social media
  • Design, develop, and execute experiments to test growth hypotheses and iterate based on learnings
  • Define OKRs and set stretch goals for your product and team
  • Create tight feedback loops with our community members and create a deep understanding of Product Market Fit
  • Communicate the growth vision, roadmap and results to your product team, stakeholders including the executive team, and community members
  • Raise the bar for design quality and user experience to make the experience of using EarnIn delightful and engaging for our community members

Our take

Paying bills is an inevitable part of life, but paying them late or dipping into overdrafts can result in fees. This is the reality for millions of workers who have to wait for their pay checks to arrive – and the problem that companies like EarnIn are trying to solve. By allowing hourly workers access to their pay as it is earned rather than on a fixed date, it hopes to provide all Americans with the ability to deal with immediate costs without going into arrears.

Unlike competitors in this growing space such as Dave, Earnin charges no mandatory fees, instead gaining revenue through a voluntary tipping system. It also requires no credit checks to access its services, which puts it ahead of the growing number of digital banking solutions. This approach has garnered it a strong user base of over 300,000 business customers which offer Earnin as an employee benefit. Around 70 million paycheck advances were taken through the platform in 2022 alone, totalling $5 billion. Since then, this number has grown to an overall earnings access value of $15 billion.

Earnin is growing despite current difficulties in the wider tech landscape and is continuing to hire in all departments. It will continue to improve upon its offering and expand its network of businesses, aiming to give every employee in America control of the money they've earned.
