Role

Who you are

  • 1-2+ years’ experience in Financial Services and / or Payment Services
  • Ability to understand and analyse business processes and assess strengths and weaknesses
  • Strong writing skills, including policy, procedures, presentations, and operating flows
  • Experience managing projects and / or driving initiatives cross-functionally across an organisation
  • Highly analytical - keen to challenge and understand root causes
  • Strong communication (oral and written)
  • Ability to handle and analyse data
  • Organised, diligent with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work well with a team and with the wider business
  • A positive outlook and a continuous improvement mentality

What the job involves

  • Supporting the firm’s Risk and Control Assessment (RACA) process
  • Carrying out and analysing the results of Assurance Reviews and Control Testing
  • Assisting in embedding the firm’s Incident Management Procedures, including providing independent review and challenge on incidents
  • Identify and investigate risk incidents and events, completing root cause analysis and helping identify any missing controls or improvements to be made in the business
  • Completing preparation for the Risk Committee, including producing papers, tracking & reporting KRI metrics and collating inputs from across the firm
  • Reviewing and analysing risk data and providing insight to Senior Management and the Board
  • The business and our team are always looking to improve, as such, you will be responsible for making recommendations, and putting forward ideas that you think might help improve the team and business processes and de-risk the business
