Our take

Founded in Denmark in 2020 and already operating out of offices in both Copenhagen and London, Scaleup Finance is looking to bring the concept of CFO-as-a-Service to fast growth startups. The company offers a financial management platform as well as first hand Financial Officer support.

It’s a simple pitch, letting startups focus more on product and worry less about finances. It’s easy to see the appeal, but it’s also worth bearing in mind that scaling startups are under serious pressure to bring in not just any expertise, but the right expertise. To that end, Scaleup Finance is leveraging the backgrounds of its own founders – a six-strong team of serial founders, CFOs, consultants, and technicians.

The company has already gained a good number of Scandinavian startups on its books, including health diagnostics startup, Vital Beats, and startup-focused marketing agency, Mentum. The fast-growing company has recently expanded to the UK, after completing Denmark's largest-ever seed funding round.
