Via is a world-leading public mobility technology provider, transforming transportation and logistics systems into highly efficient digital networks. Its TransitTech platform powers cost-effective, convenient, and equitable mobility across the globe including public transport, student transport, corporate transport, and paratransit.
The company has two smart go-to-market strategies. First, it licenses the technology to cities wanting on-demand solutions. Secondly, it provides a full solution for operators (such as TfL) including technologies, operations, marketing, and data science. After acquiring Remix, a mapping and transit-planning tool, Via combined the software with its own on-demand transit data to help cities visualize how on-demand services can become part of the public transit system.
With hundreds of partnerships in place, and operating across the globe, Via is committed to revolutionizing the way the world moves. The company has stated plans to go public, but for now, seems focussed on expanding its services - for example with the wheelchair-accessible autonomous shuttle service it launched in partnership with May Mobility. Substantial funds will enable Via to expand its suite of products and improve its services, as well as innovate and accelerate expansion across markets and verticals.
