  • Work directly with customers in a post-sales environment
  • Deeply understand the details of customer product catalogs, order history, and other types of data
  • Work with engineering and others to transform that data into a format that can be imported in Subskribe

Our take

Over the last three decades, innovations in the hosting, buying, and distributing of B2B software have repeatedly upended the economics of how software gets sold. We started with an up-front license fee and a recurring maintenance fee. Now the number of pricing models is mind-boggling with tiered, freemium, active user, and usage-based pricing just to name a few.

Subskribe exists to help businesses manage this growing diversification in billing approaches. Its billing platform allows SaaS vendors being able to mix, match and invent new ways to sell its services. Its software stands out with greatly reduced implementation costs compared to its rivals, helping it to build a solid customer base including companies such BigID, Vivun and Beamery.

Perhaps the biggest risk to Subskribe’s business is a platform one. It has already secured important integrations with Salesforce and other CRM software services. Subskribe will hope that these behemoths don’t choose to invest in their own billing products, though if they do, Subskribe’s nimble approach and deep customer understanding will likely keep it ahead of the curve.
