Who you are
- While your expertise should prominently shine in Tableau & SQL, experience in PowerBI will be an added advantage, though not obligatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related domain
- 4+ years of deep-rooted experience with Tableau Desktop and Server
- Proficiency in SQL with a knack for crafting optimized queries
- Familiarity with PowerBI is considered a plus
- In-depth grasp of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database design
- Stellar analytical and problem-solving prowess
- Excellent communication flair with the capability to decipher complex data narratives
What the job involves
- As the main Tableau authority within our team, your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and refining our Tableau reports and dashboards
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated dashboards, visualizations, and reports using Tableau
- Engage directly with stakeholders to elicit and fine-tune BI requirements specific to Tableau-based solutions
- Spearhead efforts to streamline and enhance Tableau Server performance through best practices
- Craft SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) when necessary
- Collaborate on data modeling and database design considerations
- Uphold the standards for data integrity, consistency, and security
- Initiate and guide efforts to standardize and enhance BI solutions and methodologies
- Deliver training sessions and mentorship to team members on Tableau best practices
- PowerBI Proficiency (Nice-to-have):
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in BI technologies, especially within the Tableau ecosystem, and share insights with the team
- If required, support the team in crafting PowerBI dashboards and reports
- Collaborate with the BI team to ensure uniform design principles are maintained across both Tableau and PowerBI platforms
