Role
Who you are
- We are looking for a software engineer with experience building large-scale, mission-critical enterprise software in an object-oriented language
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience
- Exceptional proficiency in Python, Django (2+ years) or a similar language and web application framework
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, etc
- Authoritative understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Data-driven, analytical, hypothesis/validation mindset
- Ability to identify problems/opportunities, break them down into critical parts, and design solution options
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment of a large web application, and associated build, test, and deployment methodologies and tools
- Experience with RESTful API
- Familiar with microservice architecture
- Experience with modern frameworks on backend and frontend
Desirable
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design

- As a Senior Backend Engineer at Kandji, you will design and build the core services that power our web application, while maintaining security and scalability
- You will work alongside our macOS and Infrastructure engineers to bring world class products to market

Device and application management is essential for the maintenance of an IT stack, with particular emphasis on frequent updating and compliance. This can be a laborious and repetitive task, so management software exists to automate these processes. However, existing solutions are generally aimed towards IT departments running on Windows.
Kandji provides a mobile device management platform that facilitates the remote maintenance of Apple-based IT stacks. Users can manage IT devices, applications, networking and compliance within a zero-touch automation system. The need for this service in companies using Apple hardware is clear: it has been adopted by major enterprises such as Belkin, Crunchbase and Notion.
Launched in 2019, the company has completed multiple rounds of funding and is continuing to grow at a rapid pace. As the Apple device management market is also expanding at speed, Kandji is well poised to continue its run of success.
