Role

Who you are

  • You have B2B experience managing and developing revenue-generating teams including sales, customer success and account management.
  • You should be a clear communicator who can work with leadership to establish a clear vision and strategy, and mobilise teams across all functions
  • You can engage, motivate and inspire your team
  • You have a proven track-record at getting commercial teams to consistently hit revenue KPIs (sales growth, revenue retention)
  • You are a great relationship builder and can build strategic long-term partnerships. You are experienced in pitching, presenting and negotiating. You are happy to speak with clients directly when necessary
  • You are an effective coach, who can enable teams to further develop their commercial acumen
  • You can handle data and metrics effectively, you have experience with CRMs, forecasting and pipeline management
  • You can educate the market and generate awareness of Otta through thought leadership and advocacy

  • Startup or scale up experience is preferred but not necessary

What the job involves

  • We have 300+ paying customers across 2 primary revenue streams. We aim to double our revenue in the next 2 years
  • You will be accountable for new business growth and revenue retention. Our Sales team is focused on outbound net new revenue, and our commercially focused CS team is focused on NRR
  • You will be directly managing the Head of Sales, a Business Development Lead, and 2 Customer Success Leads. We are in the process of hiring our first Renewals Account Manager, who will also report to you. Reporting into them, your organisation currently consists of 6 Account Executives, 5 Customer Success Managers, and 2 Business Development Reps
  • You will be responsible for holding your team accountable to their goals, finding areas of collaboration and synergy across teams, developing people across the commercial function, and hiring into open roles
  • We are launching new offerings and packages, and will need someone to be experienced in go-to-market strategy. There will be opportunities for upselling and cross-selling this year for which we need updated strategies and KPIs
  • You’ll work with many teams across the business (including Product, Marketing, Operations) on the company’s B2B growth plans and collaborate to ensure success
  • You will be part of the UK leadership team, contributing to key company decisions
  • You will report directly to Caroline, UK Country Manager. You will work together to develop and execute existing strategies. You will make a meaningful difference to the UK revenue bottom line by having a high performing team who delight companies with an exceptional candidate-first experience
