Who you are
- This role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee media relations, content strategy, and topic curation, empowering media and journalists to cover our company's activities
- Proven experience in media relations, content strategy, or related roles, preferably in the technology or blockchain industry
- Strong understanding of North American media landscape and best practices
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and media partners
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify compelling story angles and content topics
- Experience managing external content contributors and reviewing/approving content submissions
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Media Relations & Content Strategy Manager to join our team
- Develop and implement media relations strategies to enhance brand visibility and reputation
- Collaborate with media outlets and journalists to pitch and coordinate coverage of company events and developments
- Lead content strategy by curating article topics and coordinating content creation by external writers
- Review and approve content submissions to ensure alignment with brand messaging and quality standards
- Manage relationships with key media contacts and influencers in the industry
- Plan and execute media campaigns and press events to increase company exposure
Application process
- Recruiter Call: A brief 15-30 minute discussion to go over your background and the role
- Test: You may be required to complete an online test or a take-home assignment to assess your skills relevant to the position
- Team Interview: A more in-depth session lasting 45-60 minutes with the team you'll be working with, focusing on your technical skills and team fit
- Final Interview: A concluding interview of approximately 45 minutes that may involve higher-level management or final decision-makers
- All interviews will be conducted via Zoom or Google Meeting, accommodating a fully remote recruitment process to best suit candidates globally
