Otta's take

Xav Kearney headshot

Xav Kearney

CTO of Otta

Samsara supports the transportation, logistics, construction, food production, energy and manufacturing industries with its internet-connected sensor systems. This helps businesses collect data and derive insights to improve the efficiency of physical operations.

Samsara brings transformational technologies to solve the problems of operational businesses, a segment of the economy that it says has long been underserved by the technology industry.

Thousands of companies now rely on Samsara, with clients including truck-rental provider Penske and restaurant-supplier Sysco. Samsara are now a public-company following an $805m IPO, and are now focused on product development. Ultimately, it wants to become the IoT, AI and data-analysis layer across a company’s entire spectrum of physical assets and operations.
