- This is a position in our Platform team, we’re looking for someone who has experience of using Ruby on Rails, and has worked with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform on AWS
- As this is an SE4 position as described in our public progression framework we’re looking for someone who has at least 5 years technical industry experience, with 1-2 years in a platform or SRE role
What the job involves
- Troubleshooting performance and reliability issues in our ruby and rails monolith
- Instrumenting our codebases to emit the right telemetry for our observability stack (using opentelemetry libraries)
- Coaching our engineering squads on effective implementation of monitoring and alerting
- Maintaining our services estate across Heroku and AWS
- Support with ad-hoc security and compliance tasks
- Work closely with the rest of the Platform team to ensure stability and reliability of our estate
- Proactively dive into support during user-facing outages and incidents
