  • Proven experience (8+ years) in product marketing for iPaaS or automation platforms
  • Deep understanding of SaaS, cloud-native architecture, and the low-code/no-code movement
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, including product launches and field enablement
  • Prior experience in technical enablement and training for sales and partner teams
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and compelling messaging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Innovative mindset with a track record of driving creative product marketing initiatives

What the job involves

  • We seek a dynamic and experienced VP of Product Marketing to lead the strategic product marketing initiatives for our iPaaS product line.
  • The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the market perception of our products, enabling our sales, CS, and partner teams, and driving successful go-to-market strategies.
  • As VP of Product Marketing, you will define the product's messaging, competitive positioning, technical enablement, and overall go-to-market strategy
  • Positioning and Messaging: Develop and refine compelling product positioning and messaging that effectively communicates the unique value proposition of our iPaaS and Enterprise Automation product. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering, to distill technical features into customer-centric benefits
  • Competitive Positioning and Analysis: Conduct a thorough competitive analysis to identify market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation. Develop strategies to highlight our iPaaS and Enterprise Automation product's advantages over competitors and create actionable insights for the sales and marketing teams
  • Technical Enablement: Partner with Sales, presales, Post-Sales, and Partner teams to provide technical enablement and training materials. Ensure these teams deeply understand our product's capabilities, integration scenarios, and benefits, enabling them to engage with customers and drive successful engagements effectively
  • Product GTM Strategy: Develop and own the go-to-market strategy for the iPaaS and Enterprise Automation product line. Drive the creation of collateral, website updates, blog posts, launch videos, and other assets that support product launches and ongoing marketing efforts
  • Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, including SaaS, cloud-native architecture, low-code/no-code movements, and automation platforms. Leverage your expertise to drive thought leadership and educate internal and external stakeholders on relevant market shifts

Our take

Many businesses struggle with lack of team integration. There are a plethora of handy apps available, and various teams within businesses often use different processes, tools, and software. This has led to many businesses attempting to patch together technologies and create ad-hoc solutions that fail when they need to be scaled. Workato allows businesses to integrate data and apps so that teams can collaborate and communicate securely.

Workato has built a single platform that integrates apps, processes, data, and user experiences to improve efficiency, communication, and business flexibility. There are many integration platforms available, such as SnapLogic and Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, however, Workato has aimed its platform at users who have minimal technical experience, rather than the IT team.

Workato has continued to expand its partnerships and workforce, and is well set to see further growth as it innovates its product offerings and capabilities. The company was recognized as a Leader in the 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Integration Platform as a Service, making five years it has participated and five years it has been recognized.

  • Win together: We strive to hire people who understand team wins come above their own. We respect and trust our colleagues — believing that the greatest success comes not from one person, but from all of our strengths combined.
  • Act now: The best time to do anything worth doing is now. Create a minimal viable solution fast and iterate quickly. We encourage failing fast so we can succeed faster.
  • Think ahead: We skip the easy shortcuts for mediocre and temporary solves. It’s important to always take the hard road now if it will lead to a better long term solution.
  • Better each other: You cannot get 1% better every day unless people are honest with you and you openly invite that coaching and guidance. Provide feedback in private. Encourage and support in public.
  • Go offbeat: We use novel thinking to create novel solutions. We do not use others’ thinking as a template. We mix existing wisdom with unusual thinking to generate new and better solutions.
  • Have fun: We take care of ourselves, and give everyone the space they need to feel healthy, happy, and well-rested. Because it’s only when we’re having a good time that we’re able to ensure our customers are, too.
