Role

Who you are

  • 5+ years of software development experience on a Microsoft stack (C# .NET) and familiar with caches and microservices
  • Experience in managing and leading engineering teams
  • Strong interest in new technologies (Aerospike, Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, Nuget, Xunit, GitLab, SonarQube, GCP, AWS) and large-scale technical stacks
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and know-how to identify opportunities of improvement

What the job involves

  • You will join our fast-growing R&D team based in Paris on a mission to build, organize and develop our SSP Engineering team that works on our bidding and ad delivery engines
  • You'll report directly to our Backend Engineering Manager based in Paris
  • Lead and develop a team of Software Engineers that have a passion for scale and performance. Be responsible for designing and implementing a strategic plan with your team to develop, build and optimize our engines and platform
  • Work closely with R&D Management to give vision to your team, as well as gather and translate requirements into realistic technical solutions
  • Assess quality of produced features by monitoring and tests, reviewing code to ensure maintainability, checking processes and documentation
  • Participate actively to the team spirit, be a role model for your team, supporting both the technical vision of the company and the growth and performance of your team members
  • Demonstrate strong interest to work on performance & optimization topics
  • Use remaining time and your strong development skills:
  • To take part to architecture discussions to boost global engine performance
  • To participate to the day to day scope of the team: Design, develop, deploy and maintain scalable and highly available solutions for our platforms engines
  • Innovate and learn in autonomy during our Smart days

Our take

Advertisement has become increasingly complicated in the last decade due to the arrival of smartphones and other mobile devices, and as a result, ad management platforms must be used in order to facilitate omnichannel campaigns. Whilst platforms already exist for ad management, existing solutions generally do not cater to omnichannel advertising, rely on cookies for personalisation, and benefit ad buyers or publishers, but not both.

Equativ provides an ad monetisation platform for both publishers and buyers, helping both parties to optimise the value of their investments across any advertisement channel. In addition to facilitating omnichannel campaign auctions, the company also uses audio recognition to personalise ads based on analysing the real-time interests of its target audiences instead of relying on cookies for information.

Equativ was formed in 2022 through the merger of Smart AdServer, DynAdmic and LiquidM. Although the companies previously worked closely together, the unification of the three organisations is expected to increase Equativ's efficiency and offer a single adtech platform for customers. With a threefold increase in revenue since between 2019 and 2022 and a fully integrated adtech stack, Equativ is clearly poised for further expansion.
