Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in a Tax Manager, Public Accountant, Finance Manager or relatedrole
- Two years of experience in a management role preferred, but not required
- A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Taxation or Accounting
- Experience in creating financial statements and submitting tax returns
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to lead and build processes
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations
- Familiarity with corporate tax estimate calculation rules, Sections 174 RD capitalization, GILTI, or FDII
- Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks
- Experience with International tax compliance including, but not limited to, forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, and 1118
- Familiarity with ASC 740-10 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals
What the job involves
- Manage taxes, prepare tax returns, and provide any reconciliation with the tax authorities
- Devise and execute a tax strategy for the company that helps minimize the tax burden for the US entity
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, AR, AP, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Expenses Recognition
- Prepare and publish on time monthly/quarterly and annual reports
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Take the lead on payments and treasury management
- Communicate with external advisors including payroll advisors
- Communicate with banks on any issues that may arise
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Document and develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Help to coordinate any administrative issues
