Role
Who you are
- Our ideal candidate is someone who loves to collaborate with others while also being willing and able to work directly to take an idea from concept to implementation
- 3+ years of proven management/leadership experience in a public cloud infrastructure engineering organization, managing a geographically distributed team of engineers
- 8+ years of experience with technologies such as Node.JS, Golang, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-code, terraform, and relational databases including Postgres
- Proven ability to lead high-performing engineering teams while able to provide hands-on technical direction
- First-hand experience in building and scaling infrastructure platform services for large enterprise clients
- Strong communication, leadership, people management, and analytical skills
- Self-driven to achieve high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (CS or EE) or equivalent experience. Bonus: A Master's degree in CS or EE is preferred or MBA with a BS in CS or EE
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Infrastructure Engineering team at AuditBoard. This leadership role is critical for delivering highly reliable infrastructure-as-code based foundational services that propel AuditBoard’s ongoing growth
- This position provides strategic opportunities to lead our strategy for scaling out infrastructure, mentoring other engineers, and creating a culture focused on quality in planning and execution
- In this role, you will work across a variety of technologies and partnerships - from building the team that creates the product roadmap for our infrastructure control plane to exploring new ways to meet customer needs using emerging cloud-based solutions

- Creating and leading a technology and organizational strategy
- Resource allocation, prioritization, and conflict resolution
- Hiring and developing a world-class engineering team

- New team member onboarding, training, and associated programs
- Service ownership of platform infrastructure and observability components
- Managing internal and customer-facing cloud-based services to a budget
