- 5+ years of experience as a professional software developer
- Extensive experience with frontend development
- Strong and proven knowledge of ReactJS or React Native
- Familiarity with Python or another backend language
- Solid knowledge and understanding of relational databases and schema design
- Passionate about automated testing, code quality, and general software engineering best practices
- Experience with different agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/XP)
Desirable
- Professional experience with Django and other Python-based frameworks
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (like Playwright or Cypress)
- Familiarity with TDD and BDD
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog and Splunk
- Experience with continuous integration/deployment tools

Rover.com connects pet parents with the nation’s largest network of loving and trustworthy pet sitters and dog walkers. Through Rover, pet parents can discover, book, and manage personalised care for their dogs, including pet sitting, dog walking, in-home dog boarding, and doggy day care.
Rover has fundamentally changed the U.S pet services industry, a market which is worth $10+ billion, by improving the way pet owners find and book pet care. Rover’s app is now the most downloaded and best-reviewed dog walking and pet sitting app in North America.
