Role

Who you are

  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in Frontend Development and React, with the following skills
  • Thorough understanding of React and its core principles
  • Thorough understanding of JavaScript ES6 + Unit testing with Jest
  • Thorough understanding HTML5/CSS3 and accessibility principles
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Experience with Git
  • Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools
  • You will be working on top of Python/Django applications and must be able to work well with a team of in-house developers

Desirable

  • Experience using GatsbyJS or NextJS
  • Familiarity with Typescript
  • Knowledge of Storybook and Design Systems
  • Knowledge of Contentful, Dynamic yield, Algolia or similar personalisation platforms
  • Basic Python knowledge
  • The desire to continuously learn & follow best practices
  • A good eye for design & detail
  • Experience working for a start-up / in e-commerce
  • Related degree

What the job involves

  • We are currently seeking a motivated and creative frontend developer with Javascript and React expertise to help us expand our React frontend for our online marketplace as it is enhanced with personalisation technologies
  • Work on our site wide customer-facing front end
  • Assist in the development of applications and features
  • Work closely alongside backend and frontend developers across projects
  • Deliver additional frontend work for other parts of the business, including our supplier-facing application
  • Implement compelling user-facing experiences
  • Application testing including unit, behaviour and integration tests - working alongside our QA team
