Company mission

To make observability viable for any organization, giving their customers visibility and control while maximizing value from existing tools, with pricing that is accessible for all.

Role

Who you are

  • Four years of experience working with revenue data (Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience e.g.) and working closely with stakeholders to establish a roadmap of technical work
  • Proven ability to derive insights, conduct strategic analysis, and create clear and compelling data visualizations from large revenue data sets across multiple sources
  • Familiarity with the modern data tech stack (Snowflake, dbt e.g) and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, e.g). Advanced technical expertise in SQL, data modeling, and building dashboards
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities, capable of leading strategic projects with minimal guidance and managing priorities effectively
  • Analytical thinking and comfortable with ambiguity, self-motivated, and adept at working cross-functionally. Especially adept at embracing change and resourcefully addressing problems that don’t have clear solutions
  • Expertise in collaborative environments, engaging effectively with peers and stakeholders to achieve goals and actively participate in meetings
  • A proactive and high degree of ownership, astutely identifying opportunities for improvement, driving new processes, and rallying the team to solutionize problems together

Desirable

  • Working experience at a fast-growing SaaS company
  • Experience with Python (or equivalent scripting language)
  • Excited about the observability space

What the job involves

  • As a part of the Data Analytics function at Cribl, you will be responsible for empowering data-driven decision-making across Cribl by scaling our business intelligence system, democratizing the use of data, and championing data best practices
  • You will be a key contributor to our centralized Analytics team, partnering closely with our Product, Engineering, Data Engineering , and Customer Experience functions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs and formulate end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, visualizations
  • Translate underlying needs of our business into key metrics and frequently analyze and report to stakeholders
  • Maintain, develop, and automate reporting needs at Cribl with an ability to context switch between projects; this role will be divided between supporting ad-hoc data requests and project work
  • Scale our data technology stack by managing data sets into our data warehouse, creating meaningful data transformations, and making data available in our BI tool
  • Empower Criblanians to self-service all their data needs by developing, scaling and leading the enablement of our centralized BI tool

Our take

In a bid to simplify big data analytics, Cribl offers a data observability pipeline which allows users to reduce low value data, improve routing and gain more data context on one interface.

As companies now collect more and more data from frequently scattered sources, its useability and reliability comes into question. By offering an observability service, Cribl allows users to maintain the health of their data systems by monitoring, tracking and troubleshooting issues.

Cribl's main challenge will be competing with the likes of Observe and Edge Delta. However, Cribl has raised impressive funds that should accelerate its transition from a limited tool vendor to a fully-fledged observability suite. The company also boasts surpassing $100 million in annual recurring revenue, having grown this from $1 million in less than four years.
