Role
Who you are
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and management
- Experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others
- Understanding of AWS networking concepts and experience with VPCs, VPNs, PrivateLink, and Transit Gateway
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions)
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders
- Problem-solving skills and experience designing and implementing large-scale systems
- Passion for automation and efficiency improvements
- Quality mindset with a focus on building high-quality systems
Desirable
- Experience with a programming language such as Python or shell scripting
- Awareness of multi-account AWS setups, including AWS Organisations, Control Tower, and Guard Duty
- Familiarity with DORA engineering metrics and the SPACE Framework
- Awareness of security best practices, including the Principle of Least Privilege

- We’re looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to join the Chetwood team
- As part of our engineering group, you will play a crucial role in supporting the engineering teams and ensuring the design and implementation of robust, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions
- Participate in code and design reviews and provide guidance to team members
- Contribute to architectural discussions within the team
- Assist in managing trade-offs when implementing new capabilities and features
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate requirements into engineering solutions
- Ensure solutions are observable, secure, and operable
- Promote good engineering practices and standards within the team
- Invest in automation to enhance productivity and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions aligned with business objectives

Chetwood markets itself as a digitally native bank which creates targeted products that are designed to better serve individual customers' needs.
