  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
  • Experience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic products
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering
  • Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in various technologies and systems, including operating systems, databases, network infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud computing (AWS). Able to evaluate and select appropriate technologies for specific requirements
  • Analytic and Strategic Thinking: Analyze data, performance metrics and business requirements to make data driven decisions, develop network strategies and drive continuous improvements

  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
  • Experience with technologies like Hadoop, Rules based systems and Machine learning

What the job involves

  • As a product management leader you will own ideation, design and development of next-generation cross cutting products and solution for Operations Technology Solutions (OTS) portfolio
  • You will understand the business impact of OTS infrastructure solutions, shows good judgment when making product/technical trade-offs, and will influence other OTS verticals (Supply Chain, Infrastructure Engineering, Field Delivery) roadmaps
  • You will bring perspective, provide context for current technology decisions, and guide future technology choices
  • You will build excellent partnerships with customers, vendors, and peers to define holistic product requirements
  • Product Management: Leveraging your strong foundation in product management concepts and methodologies, you will be performing data & market analysis, product strategy, road mapping, and prioritization of features for OTS products and solutions
  • Unified user experience: identify user needs by conducting user research, gathering feedback via and Voice of Customer (VOC) mechanisms. Work closely with product and engineering teams to build a unified user interface to streamline user experience
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate product visions, goals, and requirements to diverse stakeholders, including senior management, OTS verticals, and OTS customers. Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product development

Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
