Role

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design within a startup SaaS environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of SaaS UX design projects and demonstrated expertise in user-centered design principles
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma is required
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Prior experience in a startup environment
  • Fluency or familiarity with technical concepts to effectively collaborate with engineers by speaking a common language across both disciplines

Desirable

  • Experience working on AI based solutions – working closely with Engineering and Data Science teams to take complex technical challenges and distill them down to simple understandable patterns and concepts
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in a two or three week sprint cadence
  • Familiarity with technical concepts like APIs, Databases, and the differences between frontend and backend elements of a solution

What the job involves

  • As the UX Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of UX design, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and championing user-centric design principles throughout the organization
  • Lead and mentor a team of UX designers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to foster growth and excellence in UX design
  • Define and drive the overall UX strategy and vision for our products, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into intuitive and engaging user experiences
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups to communicate design concepts and user flows effectively
  • Establish and maintain design standards, patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistency and coherence across our product portfolio
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in our products
