Company mission

To empower companies to connect with their customers in a whole new way.

Role

Who you are

  • Do you want to shape how data will change the world?
  • Are you ready to collaborate with inquisitive, thoughtful, and creative people to get great products into the hands of customers
  • Experienced. 3 or more years’ experience doing UX design in complex, technical product spaces. You also have a background in HCI, Design, or a related field
  • Highly Skilled. You have deep experience crafting and leading user-centered design solutions across a range of platforms and business contexts. With your application, please provide a design portfolio link or document
  • Analytical. You have hands-on experience analyzing data and using analytic software products. You love understanding data, patterns and trends. Numbers are your friends. You can dig into the details but always see the big picture
  • A Leader. You are smart but remain humble and open to learning from others. You are wary of blind spots and amplify your partner’s strengths. You lead by example and hold yourself and others to high standards
  • Strategic. You help others connect their work to business strategy through effective written and verbal communication
  • Proactive. You take initiative and drive your projects to success. You identify risks early and take steps to manage and mitigate them
  • A life-long learner. Finding and sharing new design tools and processes, new technical areas, and better ways to get things done

What the job involves

  • As a Sr. UX Designer, you’ll use your knowledge, technical prowess, and design skills to continue to extend a platform that empowers people to see and understand data: analyzing data, answering questions, forecasting the future, crafting visualizations, and sharing insights
  • And, as a partner to engineering, product management, user research, and content experience, you’ll work together to set the vision for analytics and build healthy, effective, impactful cross-discipline teams
  • The analytics design team leads efforts to make fast, easy, and beautiful analytical experiences possible for every Tableau user
  • We continuously evolve how analytics are built, designed, and used across organizations
  • We anticipate changes in work, technology, and society in order to innovate and build new experiences that make data meaningful and lead to action for new groups of people
  • Turning complex and technical concepts into experiences that feel simple and straightforward
  • Crafting scenarios, user flows, wireframes, and working prototypes that clearly communicate design intent to everyone, designers and non-designers alike
  • Working directly with engineers and PMs on projects from beginning to end, working together to create beautiful and intuitive product experiences
  • Collaborating closely with your peers in the design as well as the broader experience organization, including user research and content experience teams. Contribute to shared initiatives and operational improvements that drive positive impact for the team at large
  • Fostering a healthy design practice by giving and receiving feedback with maturity and perspective

Our take

Salesforce is a global cloud computing company, best known for its on-demand, comprehensive customer relationship management (CRM) solutions. The company was launched to mitigate the doubts that business owners felt regarding third party companies holding their data.

By providing essential, customer-oriented CRM software, Salesforce places itself at the heart of digitised businesses. Furthermore, by building out its AI capabilities, the company removes the complexity of AI, enabling any business to deliver smarter, personalised and more predictive customer experiences.

Due to the continued innovation offered by the company, over 150,000 companies, both big and small, are growing their business with Salesforce today. Despite a tumultuous 2023 filled with activist investors, a boardroom shake-up and the unprecedented step-down of Co-CEO Bret Taylor, Salesforce continues to close several acquisition deals and managed to drive up its stock value by 96% from the end of 2022 to 2023.
