Who you are

  • You will need to have natural leadership skills; the ability to coach, develop, and upskill a technically minded sales organization; and strong senior level client-facing skills.
  • This leader should have a deep understanding of the performance of top medium customers accounts at Snap and a proven track record of providing the voice of customer to teams such as product, sales engineering, data science & data analytics, marketing science and sales finance to further customer outcomes via Snap ads
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization (internally and externally)
  • Can facilitate meetings with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or equivalent years of experience
  • 12+ years experience in digital media space
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team

Desirable

  • Proven track record of driving ad sales growth in key performance and brand advertising clients and partners
  • Analytical rigor and critical thinking in driving decisions, trade-offs, and business insights to help inform Snap’s ad solutions
  • Prior experience with Direct Response ad sales in a high growth business environment
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Client Partner to join Snap Inc! As a senior leader you will manage a team of Client Partners and Account Managers across SMC’s Americas business.
  • Have command of and be responsible for the growth of NA’s medium customers business at Snap and be able to inform & coach client teams on trends in constituting segments
  • Manage a team of Client Partners and Account Managers
  • Build and manage relationships with key senior clients, measurement and agency partners, and performance advertising consultants
  • Hold your team accountable to revenue quotas and KPIs such as same store sales growth
  • Define, execute, and deliver KPI-driven measurement strategies and narratives
  • Understand broad trends and translate into strategic areas and opportunities to drive growth of the business
  • Assist Sales leadership with determining individual quotas and account lists for team members
  • Coach, mentor and help grow high performers to drive cross-company collaboration and impact beyond achievement to quota

Our take

Snap is the social media giant that owns Snapchat, a social media mobile app released in 2011. Created to serve as a more emotive communication form than texting, the app has gained mass popularity, reaching upwards of 400 million daily users worldwide.

After rejecting a billion dollar acquisition from Meta (then Facebook) in 2013, Snap has found itself in competition with the social media giant, particularly with Instagram. Despite this, the company has marked a place for itself in the ever competitive social media space through developing features like a Discover tab, augmented reality lenses, in-app games, ads and monetisation options, as well as launching its paid service, Snapchat+.

Snap has so far not earned an annual profit since going public in 2017, but as Snapchat's user base has continually increased it has nearly closed the gap. Like other tech companies it suffered in late 2022 due to a surprise drop in advertising revenue, but has been rebuilding to its former trajectory since then. Given Snapchat's lasting popularity amongst young people, further success appears likely.
