Company mission

We’re on a mission. And it’s money without borders. Instant, convenient, transparent and — eventually — free.

Role

Who you are

  • We're looking for a dynamic Senior Analyst to join our growing team and partner with our operations leads across Servicing, Fincrime, KYC, and more to drive operational efficiency and scalability of Wise Platform operations
  • You have a strong track record of partnering with operational teams and delivering actionable insights and recommendations that drive operational efficiency
  • You are an excellent communicator, able to form your own opinions and effectively articulate them to win colleagues round to your way of thinking
  • You are solution-oriented and able to own projects from start to finish. You are comfortable motivating stakeholders across Wise and negotiating timelines to unblock yourself and make things happen!
  • You are commercially minded. You are comfortable with opportunity sizing, have solid experience forecasting and scenario modelling
  • You’re an expert at crafting dashboards and visualisations that bring data to life, tell a story and have diagnostic power - even better if you’ve got experience doing this in Looker/Superset
  • You are proficient with SQL and know your way around data pipeline management tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Git, Airflow and Python (all analysts at Wise are expected to be full-stack and should be comfortable owning analytics from ingestion to insights)
  • You have relevant experience as a data analyst supporting KYC, Fincrime, Customer Service or PayOps teams

What the job involves

  • As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere
  • At Wise, our mission is to achieve "Money Without Borders" — making financial transactions fast, convenient, transparent, and eventually free
  • Millions of people around the world use Wise to send, spend, hold, and receive money across multiple currencies
  • Wise Platform helps banks, software companies and large enterprises leverage Wise’s infrastructure to offer their customers world-class payments products through their own channels
  • We’re a cross-functional team that sits across sales, account management, product, engineering, operations, analytics and more
  • This is a newly created role that will allow you to have a big impact from day one!
  • You will be working closely with our Head of Business Operations to shape the priorities of the teams, building conviction through your insights and analysis
  • You will own our operational forecasting and capacity planning
  • By developing an intricate understanding of partners and the factors which drive operational workload, your work will ensure we’re adequately resourced and provide a best-in-class experience
  • You will collaborate with operational teams to understand their processes, build operational health scores and define metrics and KPIs to measure success and drive decision-making
  • Your analysis will reduce friction throughout our customers’ lifecycle
  • You will work with product and ops teams to ensure we can onboard customers seamlessly and reduce touch points throughout the transfer lifecycle

Our take

Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.

Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. They've attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.

The challenge for Wise will be maintaining their edge and brand power in a market that's becoming increasingly crowded with new entrants (like Revolut and Monzo) and incumbents (traditional banks) trying to catch up. To do so, the company is ramping up its digital and marketing strategies, as well as pushing for further development of its existing products.
