Who you are

  • 5+ years of product design experience leading UX for mobile consumer applications demonstrating excellent interaction and visual design skills
  • Experience providing comprehensive UX documentation that takes the ambiguity out of the design experience for product managers and developers
  • Ability to deliver on short-term needs that fit into the long-term vision, including creating sketches and user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished, production-ready user interface and visual designs
  • Rigorous educational and professional training on UX design practices, ready to independently institute new processes at Pangea vs. requiring external mentorship or guidance
  • You’re a self-starter with excellent time management skills and passion for working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

What the job involves

  • As the design leader in the Product team, you will own the user experience & design aesthetic of Pangea’s web and mobile applications, which allow our customers to send money securely and efficiently to their loved ones abroad
  • You will help us define and deliver clean, intuitive, and appealing UX experiences to our users as we continue to evolve our product offering
  • Successful candidates will deeply understand the customer journey, own the overall design system and bring designs to fruition working closely with product managers and engineers
  • Own the look & feel of the Pangea app & design frictionless and intuitive customer-focused experiences
  • Define the UX for new initiatives including elements of visual design so that customers have a consistent & cohesive experience across initiatives and platforms
  • Deliver wireframes, site maps, user & process flows, prototypes and design assets to the product & engineering teams for efficient execution
  • Build & evolve the Pangea style guide making it easier to deliver software across our desktop and mobile applications
  • Optimize funnels and user flows, directly impacting customer retention and activation
  • Implement best practices for improving our design workflows and design documents; scaling design standards as we grow

Our take

Providing customers with quick access to credit is important for fintech companies to survive in today's financial landscape of open banking, but this is made difficult by high credit rejection rates from banks. However, these decisions are generally made by human assessments of data which are limited due to the complexity of the modern financial landscape. AI-driven solutions, able to analyse vast amounts of data almost instantly to derive accurate credit risk assessments, present room for improvement in the lending industry.

Enova provides a platform called Colossus that leverages AI and machine learning-enabled analytics to provide businesses and individuals with fast, reliable, and trustworthy credit. The company achieves this by partnering with banks and sharing its data analysis solutions, helping to identify opportunities for credit when they would otherwise be missed. There is definitely a market for its product: over 8 million customers have funded almost $50 billion through the platform to date.

Enova has grown strongly in recent years based on the rapid uptake of its product. As the macroeconomic climate remains volatile, businesses will increasingly come to rely on Enova's AI-based solutions to help them manage credit risk and navigate an increasingly complex lending environment.
