  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing automation systems architecture and implementation, with a strong focus on architecture best practices
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce implementation, configuration and development
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing integration solutions using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools
  • Strong understanding of marketing processes, data management, and analytics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience with additional marketing automation tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Marketo)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and SQL for data manipulation and automation
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and related technologies

What the job involves

  • The Developer for Marketing Systems (Integrations and Automation) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our marketing automation platforms, specifically focusing on Salesforce and other integrations with marketing automation engines like Klaviyo, Marketo, Qualified, LeanData, and Workato
  • This role requires a deep understanding of marketing processes, Salesforce, and integration techniques to ensure efficient and accurate data flow and effective marketing strategies
  • As a direct line of support for the Marketing Operations team, you will work seamlessly with business stakeholders to support our marketing efforts across all marketing at Klaviyo
  • Design, Implement and Optimize:
  • Lead the implementation of marketing automation solutions, ensuring best practices and industry standards are followed
  • Lead implementation of key marketing capabilities within Salesforce and various third party vendors to enhance Lead Scoring, Marketing Attribution,Lead Routing, Lead Nurturing, and campaign management and automation
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, product and IT teams to configure and optimize marketing automation workflows
  • Prioritizes identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
  • Ability to work independently while understanding and adhering to an Agile process for development and deployment
  • Maintain accurate documentation for systems and operational processes
  • Integration and Data Management:
  • Understand the need for integrations and help configure and integrate marketing tools to support all data processes from top of the funnel including website to marketing automation engine and CRM
  • Design and implement data integration solutions between Salesforce and other marketing and sales platforms
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems, implementing data governance best practices
  • Develop and maintain data models and ETL processes to support marketing analytics and reporting

Operating primarily within the retail and eCommerce industry, Klaviyo aims to solve this by offering a tool that brings together analytics and messaging. This allows companies to bring all of their first-party data into a single platform to get a deep understanding of their customers and then activate that data to deliver highly-targeted, personalised communications through email and SMS. In the process, Klaviyo's customers get a deep understanding of their consumers.

Klaviyo is a fast-growing company mainly due to its business model - the firm offers a concrete ROI for Klaviyo’s clients if the software persuades customers to make purchases by treating different types of customers differently. An IPO in 2023 has led to Klaviyo's release of Klaviyo AI, which empowers businesses to unlock revenue-driving opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences across channels. Still in its early days of public listing, it will be interesting to see how Klaviyo fares in the years to come.
