Who you are

  • An ideal candidate is someone with a degree of ownership, strong customer focus, analytical abilities and excellent communication skills
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Math/Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or a similar field
  • +7 years’ experience in sales, business development, key account management, account management, demand generation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to comfortably present to all levels

Desirable

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Proficiency in Excel and proven data-driven, analytical and quantitative skills, with a passion and aptitude for analysis and related tools
  • Knowledge of Salesforce (SFDC), SQL is a plus

What the job involves

  • Amazon Business (AB) is looking for an experienced customer- focused and results driven Key Accounts Manager to grow existing high priority accounts within Small Business segment in Europe
  • Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for understanding customer needs and developing scalable strategies to deepen customer engagement with Amazon Business by expanding their spend into new categories and adoption of new business features
  • They are able to extract insights from customer data and customer conversations, and on this basis develop and pitch solutions that will resonate with small business owners
  • Ideal candidate is able to operate both at tactical and strategic levels: spend time in direct customer conversation, drive business results, build segment growth strategy, and effectively use internal mechanisms and resources to influence product owners to drive innovation and CX improvements
  • Build in-depth understanding of Top Tier Small Business customers, via direct conversations, research, data analysis
  • Develop business growth strategy for Top Tier segment and demonstrate effectiveness through pilot testing
  • Develop customized pitch materials based on best practice and iterative testing
  • Conduct customer meetings virtually / in person
  • Create sales scripts and SOP, train team members to replicate in order to scale the program
  • Define key success metrics for the program, set up mechanisms and report on business results
  • Optimize leads prioritization model and build scalable methodology for Small Business Engagement (e.g. Solution Selling, Complete launch)
  • Expand the list of High Value Actions pitched via program (e.g. Rebates). Work with customers, internal teams to facilitate the launch process
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders from Marketing, Data, Tech, Product
  • Train and sales-assets to support customers through all the lifecycle

Despite its dominant market position, Amazon will continue to be challenged over the next decade, including sustaining AWS's cloud dominance in the face of Google and Microsoft. On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
