Who you are

  • If you have a passion for writing engaging, persuasive content, optimizing messaging for performance, and leveraging AI and automation tools to scale marketing efforts, we’d love to hear from you
  • 3+ years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or lifecycle marketing, with a focus on performance-driven content
  • A strong understanding of email marketing, customer lifecycle strategies, and conversion-optimized website copy
  • Experience with AI and automation tools (Braze, ChatGPT, Jasper, Grammarly, or similar)
  • Proven ability to write persuasive, high-converting marketing copy tailored to different stages of the customer journey
  • Sharp editing and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail, clarity, and consistency
  • A data-driven mindset, with experience running A/B tests and optimizing copy based on performance metrics
  • Excellent collaboration skills—comfortable working cross-functionally and with partner brands

Desirable

  • Experience in fintech, banking, credit cards, e-commerce, SaaS
  • Knowledge of UX writing and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for email formatting

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Copywriter who can craft compelling, high-converting copy across multiple channels
  • As a Performance Marketing Copywriter, you’ll be responsible for developing and refining marketing copy that engages, converts, and retains customers
  • You’ll work closely with performance and lifecycle marketing teams (as well as compliance…we’re a fintech after all) to create strategic content across email, website, paid ads, and customer lifecycle campaigns
  • Beyond writing, you’ll also play a key role in editing, optimizing, and A/B testing content to ensure every word drives results
  • Your experience with automation tools like Braze will help us scale and personalize our marketing efforts efficiently
  • Craft compelling, brand and partner-aligned copy for email campaigns, website content, landing pages, paid ads, and lifecycle marketing
  • Edit and refine content to enhance clarity, engagement, and conversion rates while ensuring a consistent voice
  • Work closely with performance marketing, product, compliance, and design teams to develop strategic messaging that drives customer action
  • Use AI-powered writing and workflow automation tools (e.g., Braze, ChatGPT, Jasper) to optimize messaging and scale marketing initiatives
  • Implement A/B testing to continuously improve email subject lines, CTAs, and messaging for better engagement
  • Analyze performance metrics and apply insights to refine and optimize copy for conversion and retention
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in performance marketing, customer lifecycle strategies, and AI-driven content

Our take

The global neobanking market is still growing at a staggering rate, valued at more than $50 billion and forecast to grow 50% annually for the foreseeable future. While companies like Revolut, Monzo, and Wise have been at the forefront of this digital revolution, Galileo has been a major background player.

In essence, the 2001-founded company provides some of the world’s leading fintechs (including the aforementioned Monzo and Wise), with the software and infrastructure they need to issue cards, process payments, and build innovative digital banking products.

The Fintech industry as a whole sat up and took notice when SoFi acquired Galileo for $1.2 billion in 2020, a year before going public. However, it's worth noting that since then, Galileo has continued operating as an independent subsidiary.

The hiring of financial industry veteran Derek White as CEO, and new partnerships with the likes of Fundbox and Global Rewards indicates that business is still booming for Galileo, while the company also looks to be exploring new, potentially very lucrative avenues in the crypto industry.
