  • You will dig deeply into the Algo team’s user experience and workflows to determine which new tools or improvements to existing tools will be the most impactful to HRT
  • You will collect information on the Algo team’s requirements through surveys, conversations, feedback sessions, and automated reporting. You will become adept at anticipating the needs of HRT’s Algo Developers
  • You will work closely with Software Engineers across Algo, Trading Technology, and Research & Development to set technical strategy and prioritize development work
  • You will take the lead on our 2-year strategic plans for critical tooling and Algo-facing resources

Our take

Hudson River Trading is a quantitative trading firm founded by a team of experienced venture capital experts, including computer scientists, mathematicians, and software engineers. It aims to bring a more scientific and mathematical approach to trading, operating a computing environment for the research and development of trading algorithms.

HRT's team includes a number of mathematicians, engineers and physicists. This academic approach has paid off, with HRT now having several offices around the world and boasting billions in trading capital. The firm is also a part of the DeFi Pyth network, marking a move towards crypto equity, which gives it access to an even wider range of investors and capital.

Although the trading market is crowded, HRT has proved the value of its code-first approach to trading and hence found a space for itself. HRT now invests in new blockchain companies that share its values. The company continues to innovate, which should provide the path to finding further success.
