Role
Who you are
- BS degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent experience required
- 4+ years of working with partners and integrating software solutions with service providers
- Experience in a role requiring translating between the business and technology realms, for example pre-sales engineering, consulting
- Core technical understanding, developed through 5+ years of hands-on experience in one or more of the domains below, of the modern IT environment. Broad knowledge across several technical domains is required, coupled with deep knowledge in one or more of the following:
- Endpoint Security
- Endpoint Support/Troubleshooting
- Incident response
- Systems Management
- Systems Administration
- Software Engineering
- Utility Scripting (e.g. bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python, etc.)
- Ability to envision how technology can create or enhance business opportunities for service providers
- Track record of driving projects from idea to implementation
- Hands-on Tanium experience a major plus
- Naturally team-oriented with a mission first attitude
- Demonstrates initiative and motivation

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

- Written and oral communication skills: ability to write memos, letters, and reports in clear, concise fashion with appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and word usage; ability to communicate effectively with superiors, peers, subordinates, and others on a one-on-one basis, using appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and word usage; includes clarity, organization of thought, and expressiveness are all part of this dimension
- Use of Fingers/Hands: Typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detail or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Hearing: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machine parts
- Vision: The incumbent is required to distinguish between true colors, perceive depth, and partial field of vision is required at a minimum for the position

- At Tanium, Partner Solutions Architects thrive on solving problems and building new solutions for our partners that enable and enhance partner offerings using Tanium
- Dentifying, qualifying and exploring new ways for consultancies, systems integrators, and managed services providers to derive value from our platform
- Working closely with our partners to architect, develop and enhance partner services leveraging Tanium in alignment with our mutual business goals
- Building and growing relationships with the partner ranging from engineers to executive sponsors
- Help partners re-imagine services using the Tanium platform
- As a Partner Solutions Architect, you will report to the Customer Organisation AVP, and will work closely with our partner business development team, and both technical and business-oriented partner stakeholders
- Accordingly, a successful candidate will have a blend of business and technical skills
- Become an expert in our partners’ solution and services offerings
- Manage the technical relationship with our key stakeholders at the partner firm
- Develop trust with all levels within the partner organization
- Keep efforts moving forward and overcome institutional inertia
- Teach partners how to use Tanium in their services
- Demo, deploy, operationalize, and extend the Tanium Platform
- Solve problems and build new solutions (R&D)
- Address our partners’ needs
- Thrive in a team-oriented culture through delivering a significant individual contribution while collaborating with and strengthening teammates
- Think critically, spanning the partners’ service development, creation, enablement and sales process
- Work closely with Tanium Strategic Alliances Business Development team

Tanium offers a security and systems management platform that allows real-time data collection at an enterprise scale. It covers customers such as AutoNation, GoDaddy, and Whirlpool who use the company’s software to stay abreast of the ever-increasing level of sophisticated cyber attacks.
A valuable tool for enterprises and government organisations, it partners with leading platforms and service providers across the world like Google Cloud, Oracle and Verizon. In doing so, it allows security and IT teams access to accurate information on the state of endpoints, helping it to realise new levels of business resilience.
Tanium added a former US Defence Secretary to its Board in 2021. A collaboration with Salesforce provided a platform that supports IT service management, remote monitoring and management, and cybersecurity capabilities. In the same year, the appointment of CFO Mark Levine could signal an IPO in the near future.
