• Track record of building and maintaining machine learning models in a SaaS company
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (propensity modeling, regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
• Fluent in model evaluation metrics and experience using various metrics to define “good” depending on product requirements
• Ability to process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis and modeling
• Experience dealing with large quantities of data across relational databases, cloud storage, and distributed compute systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Solid experience with common data science toolkits, such as scikit-learn, Spark ML, pandas, Scipy, etc
• Proficiency in Git or other version control systems

• As a member of the Data Science team within the Engineering organization, you will be in the data trenches for multiple product lines across Uplight.
• Data Scientists at Uplight work with stakeholders across the company to design and build machine learning models to digest, decipher, and discover new ways of thinking about who/how/why people and businesses use energy the way they do
• As a Data Scientist, you will be a contributor on day one. Your role will be part builder, part communicator, and part peer-reviewer.
• Data Science is a highly collaborative team, and you will be hands-on with your teammates and engineers from across the company answering questions, building models, and helping out however you can.
• At the same time, you will own your own code for analyses, as well as communicating out all results to people across the company
