Who you are

  • This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards)
  • This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test
  • Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening
  • Fundamental understanding of software engineering, operating systems, & security engineering
  • Proficiency of programming language java/python/c/etc
  • Linux or Unix experience
  • Deep understanding of computing, operation, function
  • Deep understanding of network communications OSI
  • Experience with a broad swath of security tools (examples: EDR, DLP, FIM, micro segmentation, etc.)
  • Worked with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms
  • An analytical mind for problem solving, abstract thought, and offensive security tactics
  • Strong interpersonal skills (written and oral communication)
  • Strong ability to debug problems with proprietary and 3rd party solutions & code
  • Ability to articulate complex issues to executives and customers
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow platform a plus
  • Adaptable to evolving situations
  • Will be working in a regulated environment requiring US Citizenship. Must be eligible for a security clearance

What the job involves

  • ServiceNow's Infrastructure Security Team is looking for a Staff Level Security Engineer to help us improve and maintain the security posture of the infrastructure that our SaaS based customer platform runs on
  • You will be developing and supporting critical processes ensuring that ServiceNow's security infrastructure remains free from compromise and available for real-time processes
  • You will work on a fast-paced team of exceptional engineers while you grow your skills and influence ServiceNow

  • This position will include supporting our US Federal customers
  • Deployment and configuration of security solutions in support of Network Security and Authentication. Server Security, Certificate lifecycle management, and more)
  • Address problems impacting production such as production outages & security incidents
  • Assess security risks and impact of issues pertaining to ServiceNow
  • Work with stakeholders to provide triage and remediation recommendations
  • Partner with Compliance teams to ensure proper validation is being performed
  • Develop and implement innovations on the ServiceNow platform

ServiceNow now looks to increase its revenue threefold in upcoming years and has entered into a 5-year partnership plan with Visa, beginning with the launch of a Visa-integrated dispute resolution solution for issuers. The company is prioritising organic growth over mergers and acquisitions, with a target revenue of $15 billion, something which its Visa partnership will no doubt aid in achieving.
