Role

Who you are

  • Code Quality: Mastery in writing clean code with well-named functions and variables, organized classes, and robust unit testing. Proficiency with IDEs and efficient typing are also expected
  • TypeScript Proficiency: Highly comfortable and experienced in working with TypeScript
  • API Design and Integration: Solid understanding of synchronous API structures, including HTTP request verbs, and asynchronous methodologies
  • Project Lifecycle Experience: Proven experience managing projects from inception to completion, understanding various stages and their technical demands
  • Database Expertise: Deep knowledge of one or more database technologies, particularly Cassandra

Desirable

  • Cloud Administration and Deployment: Experience with cloud environments, including administrative or deployment tasks
  • DevOps Practices: Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes
  • API and Microservice Evolution: Experience in deprecating, replacing, and upgrading APIs and microservices, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining system integrity
  • Architectural Insight: Skilled in evolving technical architecture, with a strong capability to think and plan architecturally

What the job involves

  • Develop and Optimize Backend Systems: Implement and maintain backend systems using Node.js, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
  • Lead Full Lifecycle of Project Development: Manage projects from concept through completion, tackling phases from system design to testing and deployment
  • Enhance API Integration and Management: Design, develop, and manage APIs, focusing on improving scalability and security of the applications
  • Maintain High Code Quality: Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices in software development
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with other teams, including front-end development, quality assurance, design, and product management, to ensure cohesive and efficient project progress
  • Drive Technological Innovation: Introduce new technologies and approaches, challenging traditional methods to enhance product and development processes
