Our take

Chess is a timeless game of logic that has been around for nearly 1,500 years, and public interest in the game has become increasingly competitive. The game is now well grounded as a discipline that must be studied, enjoyed with friends, and pushed to its limits, a challenge that depends on access to the right chess resources.

Chess.com provides an online chess platform, hosting casual and competitive games for players, strategic puzzles, videos, and other educational content. The website also serves as a hub for all chess-related news and social media and has ultimately driven the growing success of online chess as an eSport.

Whilst online chess is never going to replace the age-old tradition of competing at a physical chess board, Chess.com has set the standard for online chess. Through its optimized online chess platform and educational content, the company aims to democratize the logic behind chess and make it more fun and accessible than ever to play.
