Company mission

To offer a compliant and secure platform for financial professionals to collaborate and innovate together.

Role

Who you are

  • The ideal candidate will be a systems thinker with a passion for creating products that deliver incredible customer experiences and have deep experience with operational automation, data driven metrics collection, and a true desire to automate it rather than do it repeatedly
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, EKS, Aurora MySQL, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, etc…)
  • Experience with Containers and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
  • Experience in Unix/Linux administration and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python)
  • Experience with logging/monitoring (e.g. DataDog, Splunk)
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with CI/CD with GitHub/Jenkins/ArgoCD
  • Google Cloud Platform experience
  • Networking experience, ITIL and Security knowledge

What the job involves

  • As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work with Agile engineering teams to provide production insight into running and operating software at-scale in a globally distributed highly available cloud based system
  • You will guide the team to consider scale-out implications and operational support implications of the choices they make during the development cycle to help foster an ownership in production mentality within the team
  • You will play a hands-on role helping the team meet ambitious technical, operational, schedule, and business requirements
  • Manage our global AWS services and infrastructure while assisting in the deployment and roll-out of new features and products
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and troubleshoot application and service issues or system outages while clearly communicating status updates with management and engineering teams
  • Subscribe to the DevOps mentality and the philosophy of automating everything
  • Build and implement CI/CD solutions in an AWS environment with Jenkins / ArgoCD at the center, and automate the code delivery pipeline with the goal of one click deployments, rollbacks, and parameterized builds
  • Work with the development team to cross-pollinate SRE/DevOps processes and ensure that new architectures are drawn up with operability, stability and scalability in mind
  • Serve as a key member of the SRE team while managing the overall system health, performance, and capacity of Cloud9 internal and client facing systems

Our take

Symphony offers an end-to-end encrypted platform that helps to combat fraud and data leakage. It safeguards both external and internal business transactions, helping to build trust between organizations. It provides real-time scanning of metadata and file attachments, and allows its customers to manage defined policies with APIs and administration tools.

Symphony originally operated a service akin to Zoom, with the capacity to support data-sharing and multi-person meetings, but with the level of security required by financial companies. In recent years it has expanded into workflow solutions alongside these communication services. So far, there are few single platforms that allow users to easily and securely communicate and share financial content. Symphony is de-fragmenting this industry, and as more companies and individuals turn to digital financing, its product is timely. It's designed to plug into existing systems and stand independently.

By making the focus of its software its security features, the company hopes to later appeal to other markets that require highly secure communication options, such as legal and medical.
