Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in full-stack development, with deep expertise in React and NodeJS technologies
- Extensive experience with security practices, compliance requirements, and data protection frameworks
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor teams, with strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with large-scale systems and high-security environments
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building tools and systems that safeguard user data and enhance our trustworthiness
- In this role, you will lead initiatives to develop and optimize critical tools and systems for the Trust & Safety team
- Your expertise in both frontend and backend development will drive innovations that address complex security challenges and reinforce user confidence in our platform
- You will report to the Trust & Safety Engineering Manager

- You’ll work with a talented team and have the chance to drive impactful changes in a critical area of our business
- Be a founding member of our Trust & Safety Team
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced tools and systems for user safety and data protection
- Architect and implement scalable and secure solutions for both frontend and backend components
- Collaborate with other engineering leaders, product managers, and security experts to define and prioritize security and trust-related features
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
- Conduct security audits and assessments, implementing best practices and emerging technologies to address potential vulnerabilities
- Drive initiatives to continuously improve our internal tools and processes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and reliability
- Engineer robust software solutions with a strong emphasis on high-quality development standards, ensuring reliability, and maintainability
Our take
The competitive nature of sports has always been driven by scorekeeping, and nowadays results are often consumed online. However, for smaller teams it can be difficult to provide this information digitally, as they do not have dedicated web development staff.
GameChanger provides a scorekeeping and statistics platform for sports teams to engage with their fans, that allows viewers to track the progress of a game in real-time similar to with professional sports. The company also embeds a live-streaming service into the platform to facilitate remote viewing, helping to increase audience engagement.
Whilst some sports teams already stream events on platforms such as Twitch and Youtube, most do not have the technical resources to achieve this. GameChanger has recognized this gap in the market, providing a simple yet unified platform for sports scoreboards and streaming, providing a fair opportunity for any team to maximize their community engagement.
