Who you are

  • Are you interested in helping to build solutions that help recognize and prevent payment fraud?

  • Bachelor’s degree/master’s in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • In depth understanding of technology behind products. This includes knowledge of software engineering principles, prior software engineering hands on experience, and architecture understanding
  • Ability to read and write SQL queries to perform data analysis
  • Ability to read and understand java (or similar) based code to drive better development outcomes
  • Experience with REST based web services; JSON, XML
  • Proficient in technical requirements gathering and documentation and grooming user stories, setting entrance/exit criteria and prioritizing a platform product backlog
  • High-energy, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in a collaborative (Agile) environment
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, communicates with Architects, Product Managers and other stakeholders with ease
  • Experience employing agile/SAFe methodologies and ceremonies and product road mapping skills and OKR’s
  • Experience of Observability tools and message and data driven analysis/development an advantage

What the job involves

  • Be part of the Operations & Technology Fraud Products team developing new capabilities for Mastercard's Decision Management Platform, which serves as the core for multiple business solutions to combat fraud and validate cardholder identity
  • Our patented Java-based platform processes billions of transactions per month in tens of milliseconds using a multi-tiered, message-oriented approach for high performance and availability
  • We are seeking a Talented and motivated Senior Product Manager - Technical to join our engineering team
  • In this role, you will work with our cross-functional engineering teams, playing a critical role in creating new functionality within our platform
  • Collaborate with technical team and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Perform analysis of system requirements, elaborate into features, with clear acceptance criteria and story point estimates in a SAFe/Agile methodology format
  • Facilitate scoping sessions and lead review sessions of technical requirements/stories
  • Coordinates with interdependent teams on platform product requirements
  • Produce, own, and manage product documentation ensuring features and associated documentation are clear and easily consumable by other engineering teams
  • Contributes to the product portfolio and roadmap, prioritizing the backlog
  • Recommends trade-off decisions on platform product features/depth of features/backlog items
  • Uses runtime metrics of their services in market as a feedback loop into the backlog and balances the priorities against new feature requests
  • Continuously monitors feature development at the feature level adjusting throughout implementation as needed
