Role

Who you are

  • We are looking for a seasoned product leader with experience in leading a competent product organisation, deep experience in building and optimising high scale tech products that create a compelling value proposition for the consumers and the business
  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a Head of Product/Director of Product and managed a team of at least 3-5 product managers
  • Previous experience in Internet consumer facing industries such as eCommerce or any multi-sided marketplace is required
  • Good understanding of how to build great consumer experience for mobile apps serving millions of users spread in multiple geographies
  • Excellent analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Empathy for users and a drive to discover and resolve their pain points
  • Excellent business acumen, customer-centric, team and results-oriented

What the job involves

  • Define and drive the product strategy for the Freenow consumer products that improves and delivers great user experiences for both our B2C and B2B customers
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, analytics and data science to define an ambitious product strategy, develop and maintain a prioritised product backlog, and execute on delivering great experiences for users
  • Build and mentor a team of highly capable junior and senior product managers
  • Be extremely customer-centric and able to empathise with customer pain points
  • Have a very first principle problem solving mindset who is always challenging the status quo of doing things and has the ability to break a complex problem into smaller problems that can be solved efficiently
  • Launch minimum-loveable-products based on quantitative and qualitative data on user behaviour and experimentation, as well as being able to continuously iterate your product to enable more delightful customer experience
  • Oversee product launches, product marketing, and other go-to-market activities for all Rider and B2B products
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that the team's work is well-understood and well-supported
  • Able to use data to drive decisions, measure product performance, and communicate impact and get buy-in from senior executives

FREE NOW is a multi-service mobility joint venture backed by BMW Group and Mercedes-Benz Mobility. The company aggregates numerous mobility brands with the ambition to make urban mobility more efficient and sustainable without adding new vehicles on the street. These include Beat, Kapten and Clever Taxi.

FREE NOW’s unique integration of mobility brands and payments services gives users access to the widest range of mobility options on the market. These options include finding the nearest taxi, private hire vehicle or car share, as well as micro-mobility options such as e-scooters, e-mopeds and e-bikes. In doing so, the company makes urban mobility more efficient and sustainable, without bringing new vehicles to the street.

FREE NOW operates across 170 cities with over 56 million users. In the UK, it faces competition from the likes of Uber and Bolt. However, the company has been focused on investing and growing further in London, successfully quadrupling UK journeys in 2022. Whilst businesses like Uber have struggled to secure licenses with Transport for London, FREE NOW has received a three year license, which is longer than any major competitor.
