Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer/client-facing role such as Customer Solutions Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or Sales Engineer
  • Proficient in one or more programming language such as JavaScript or Python
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Passion for superior developer experience
  • Prior experience working with public APIs or SDKs
  • Proficient with writing database queries and data analysis

What the job involves

  • We are looking for an experienced Senior Partner Engineer to join the Devvit team
  • You will be joining this new developer platform in its early stages, and be the technical champion for excellence in developer experience, fostering strong relationships with our partners and enabling their success
  • You will also collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, helping shape their strategy and roadmap ensuring that we build excellence in developer experience based on learnings from our community at large
  • You will be responsible for technical partnerships with game studios, providing ongoing technical support, and ensuring that our product and engineering teams learn from their experience
  • You will also be responsible for technical evangelism of this new platform, ensuring that new developers are empowered to start building on Devvit with lowest possible friction, through speaking at industry events, webinars, creating documentation and sample code
  • Independently troubleshoot and drive resolution of partner issues
  • Independently identify, document and present opportunities for improvement on our developer platform, helping engineering and product teams to build towards developer expectations
  • Use Jira to record, track progress and escalate application issues
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing and product teams to identify and prioritize product improvements based on partner feedback
  • Assist developers in understanding how to appropriately use our platform
  • Build strong relationships with C-level decision makers in our partner network
  • Assist with various application testing activities and internal projects as needed
  • Build documentation, sample applications and educational materials for our partner network
  • Build external-facing support systems and processes that allow our developer platform to scale
