Who you are

  • 2+ years of experience cold calling into the LATAM region
  • Previous experience working within partner relationships, preferably within the LATAM region
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • High-level understanding of the enterprise data space

What the job involves

  • The Partner BDR at Fivetran is a key strategic position focused on developing and maintaining relationships with Fivetran’s channel partners to grow net new business in the LATAM region
  • In this position, you will call on inbound leads, nurture and expand existing relationships, and identify opportunities for potential future growth for our Sales and Alliances organizations in LATAM
  • You will strategically identify key decision makers, map large enterprise accounts, and generate meetings across all levels within Fortune 100 companies
  • With a focus on breaking into named net new business accounts, the BDR team contributes to hitting new logo acquisition targets, generating crucial pipeline momentum for Fivetran’s success
  • Proactively grow the funnel of potential emerging LATAM Partners, develop the activities, strategy and relationships driving adoption and partner success
  • Qualify inbound leads to create marketing and sales opportunities with and through Fivetran’s strategic regional partners
  • Create and execute a territory account plan between Fivetran and our LATAM partners
  • Manage partners with a focus on sales and lead management and ongoing coaching for pipeline development and progression of opportunities
  • Understand, track, report and analyze partner activity to ensure accuracy and proper evaluation of business partner opportunities
  • Expand the network inside Fivetran’s partners, develop key relationships, and gain understanding of the partner network
  • Identify ways to engage Fivetran partners, target markets and develop business opportunities while growing Fivetran’s position and core business
  • Hunting & Outbounding - Named Account mapping into large enterprise companies while prospecting and generating meetings with all levels of employees from C-Level to data analysts
  • Demonstrate a deep interest in our Enterprise customers' data challenges and pain points and an understanding of Fivetran’s product
  • Develop and demonstrate a deep interest and understanding of Fivetran’s product and the value it brings to our Enterprise customers, with the ultimate goal of setting up engagements with your Account Executives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Enterprise Account Executives, Marketing and Alliances to drive pipeline generation and exceed revenue goals
  • Leverage both pre-created and personalized cadences based on Industry, Persona, and Use Case
  • Organize and categorize sales lead information and activity into Salesforce.com

Our take

After a few slower years since graduating from Y Combinator in 2013, Fivetran has skyrocketed, consistently raising large sums of funding, including an Andreessen Horowitz-backed $565m Series D round in 2021.

Customers are mostly data analysts at companies with inefficient database schema, who suffer from a high risk of project failures. Fivetran offers rapid integration of complex data services into cloud warehouses, tagging onto the trend towards cloud-based data systems.

By developing and continuously improving cloud applications that adapt to changing APIs and data schemas, Fivetran is attracting customers who seek long-term data viability. Fivetran also benefits from being easy to set up and integrate into a client's existing software.

After acquiring HVR, a data integration competitor, and Teleport Data, Fivetran continues to add functionality and customers via acquisition. A round of funding in 2023 paved the way for expansion into European and Asian markets.
