Role
Who you are
- This role requires a deep understanding of SaaS platforms, marketplace dynamics, and customer needs
- 8+ years of product management experience working with Engineering teams on SaaS or tech-enabled marketplaces
- Proven track record for taking products from 0 to 1 (inception to launch)
- Definitive UX/design sensibility
- Executing amidst ambiguity: Structuring the problem, defining the roadmap and metrics, iterating rapidly through experimentation, and delivering value to our customers
- Data-driven: Experience defining metrics and running experiments and testing
- You are a self-starter and have a history of successfully building and managing products that users love
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up your sleeves and wear many hats to get the job done
- Ability to zoom in to the technical details and zoom out to the customer’s operational reality
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations across the company
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present to customers and executives
- Previous experience in healthcare preferred
- Experience working with integrating APIs preferred
- Previous experience in high-growth startups is required
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk
- Prolonged periods of working on a computer
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds of work equipment
- Ability to set up home office to include desk and chair
What the job involves
- We are seeking an innovative Product Manager to drive the development of the demand side of our SaaS-enabled B2C marketplace
- You will be responsible for understanding customer needs and behaviors, developing strategies to enhance product-led acquisition, retention, and engagement
- You will also work closely with the supply side of the marketplace, to collaborate and contribute to the levers that can effectively balance the marketplace dynamics to drive business growth and expansion
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the product vision, developing the roadmap, and ensuring successful execution of product initiatives that drive growth and retention
- This is a 0 to 1 opportunity with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, in a lean startup environment that values action and grit
- Partner with Engineering and Operations to drive effective product discovery to generate meaningful value for our customers through prototypes, experiments, insights, and iteration
- Collaborate with your Product peers to manage the balance of supply and demand within the marketplace, ensuring a healthy ecosystem for both healthcare facilities on the demand side and healthcare professionals on the supply side
- Collaborate with client teams to set, meet, and exceed customer expectations, through technology with a platform-led mindset to deliver value to a growing user base at scale. This includes optimizing client onboarding and enhancing user experience to drive and accelerate revenue growth
- Collaborate with business operational stakeholders on tooling requirements, driving build vs. buy assessment when needed, to create efficiencies for clients as well as the internal team members that support them
- Conduct user research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs
- Define, implement, and track key performance indicators to measure the outcomes of our solutions
Our take
CareRev enables hospitals and other care facilities to access a pool of healthcare staff. The platform allows clients to post shifts to its internal resource pool, which can then be broadcasted to CareRev’s very own pool of professionals.
Staff can choose to take on shifts that suit their needs and schedule via an app on their phone, eliminating the need for a traditional agency. Unlike other healthcare labor marketplace platforms, CareRev offers health systems the technology to create their own hybrid marketplaces in which internal employees are given the option to claim shifts before they’re broadcasted to local, external CareRev professionals.
As with any marketplace business, the ongoing challenge for CareRev will be balancing fluctuating healthcare demand with high-quality staff.
