Our take

GoDaddy is a leading web hosting company and internet domain registrar helping its 21+ million customers build professional websites, and sell their products and services.

Following an increasing shift online for businesses, GoDaddy has made some strategic moves to harness this market wave. Most significantly, it has gotten ahead of the boom in e-commerce, with its invoicing and payments services. This simultaneously demonstrates a keen commitment to the requirements of its top users (as they were top requested features among its ‘Pro’ customers), and streamlines its services by eliminating the need for third-party programs. It is a smart update demonstrating market sensitivity and good business strategy.

GoDaddy has successfully navigated its reputation for controversy - for the most part - as its marketing and business practices have, in the past, attracted the ire of some commentators. However, this hasn't dented its impressive customer numbers, and it continues to boast an impressive customer base including Roblox, Telegram, and Asana.
