Role

Who you are

  • 4-6+ years in B2B marketing experience
  • Experience at a VC-backed startup with less than 100 employees
  • You’re scrappy and motivated. You’re no stranger to rolling up your sleeves and writing copy or making edits in Figma. You can execute independently but you can also source and manage high-quality talent to scale your impact
  • You have a firm grasp of media buying and optimization in digital and offline channels
  • Experience with funnel metrics and levers to move the needle across the entire funnel
  • Proficiency in marketing automation systems (Hubspot) and ability to navigate Salesforce to pull reports on specific campaigns and understand the status of leads in the funnel
  • Interpret data, create insights, and translate it into applicable changes
  • Strong project management skills to effectively deliver programs, and create alignment across groups

What the job involves

  • Coast is looking for our first Demand Generation Manager, a pivotal role on our small marketing team
  • You’ll drive growth of our inbound self-service and sales-led motions by scaling existing channels and running experiments to establish new channels
  • This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who has a deep understanding of the buyer's journey, messaging, content, and distribution channels
  • Based on your keen knowledge of our product value and personas, you’ll craft campaigns for various marketing channels
  • You’ll develop campaign concepts and messaging, write copy and design briefs, and work with content producers to deliver campaign assets to Performance Marketing for execution
  • Being successful in this role will require deep empathy for our customer and an eagerness to get to know our customers, the industries they work in, their challenges, and opportunities to serve them
  • We serve everyday businesses in the trades and transportation industries. From electrical contractors to pest control businesses, these businesses make our work possible and our lives more convenient
  • Own demand generation campaign strategy and results for several growing and new channels
  • Develop concepts, messaging, and ad copy for campaigns in your portfolio
  • Develop design briefs and work with designers to produce campaign deliverables
  • Execute campaigns independently, via contractors, agencies, and internal resources as the team grows
  • Develop robust experimentation program for outbound email messaging
  • Expand and own email nurture programs in partnership with product marketing and content marketing
  • Develop paid social and display retargeting campaigns
  • Continue to develop our account based marketing initiatives
  • Measure, analyze, report, and optimize the performance of demand gen programs
  • Work with the sales team to ensure end-to-end success of your campaigns

In recent years, companies like Ramp, Brex, Divvy, and others have emerged to provide easier ways for companies to allow their employees to pay for job-related expenses through corporate cards. However, none of these services really work for businesses operating automobile fleets - approximately 10% of B2B card spend in the US.

That’s where Coast comes in, offering a modern card issuing expense solution specifically built for fleets. The Coast card meets the demands of fleets-specific controls, security, and visibility, contributing to preventing fraud and unauthorized use. Its platform allows fleet managers to visualize spend, block or flag transactions for review, and set their own rules for card holders.

With good funding at its back, coast has been focussed on expanding the platform’s capabilities and offering a wider range of financial products - including serving parking, maintenance, and other on-the-road expenses on top of just fuel. Its Visa Fleet card program, that enables Coast Visa Fleet cardholders to make payments wherever Visa is accepted, makes it an attractive option in the market as fleet management continues to modernize.
