Role
Who you are
- We are looking for an entrepreneurial doer with a strong drive, interest in early-stage startups, and with consulting experience in Data Science / ML Engineering, including on LLM projects and MLOps
- 4+ years of experience in consulting roles on Data Science / AI / ML Engineering projects for enterprise customers - preferably in international consulting firms or AI software companies firms
- Experience in LLM application development using tools such as Hugging Face, OpenAI, Mistral, LlamaIndex, Langchain, Deepset, Ollama, etc. or at least strong experience in MLOps
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage high-level client expectations (CDOs, CTO, CISOs)
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple and convincing ways, with a keen attention to details
- Project management & self-organization skills
- Ability to manage junior data scientists and ML engineers
- Full proficiency in Python programming
- Fluency (oral & written) in both English and French
- Bonus: skills in web development (React, FastAPI) and DevOps (Docker, AWS)

What the job involves
- Lead customer engagements on for enterprise clients: finding new AI vulnerabilities, adding new evaluation methods & tests, writing audit reports & crafting dashboards
- Provide technical guidance to customers on AI application blue-teaming i.e., how to mitigate vulnerabilities; as well as best practices on LLM application architecture, prompting and optimization
- Regularly liaise with the R&D team to relay feedback, suggest improvements and test new features
- Collaborate with the sales & marketing team to support the sales pipeline, provide technical expertise, and create demos & technical content

Our take
Giskard was created when its founders saw difficulties with AI projects because of misunderstandings from business stakeholders, and a lack of robustness of the AI workflow. To address this, the company makes it easier to monitor AI models and get actionable alerts.
This includes solving problems around monitoring, such as “dashboard fatigue” where people pay less attention to monitoring after it has been deployed for a while. Giskard has a wide user base, including mature organizations who set up rolling on-call schedules for their engineers and invest in debugging tools to solve issues faster.
The company has secured major clients such as L'Oreal, Webedia and Continuity. Giskard has raised considerable funding that will aid the commercialisation of its offering, sustained hiring efforts, and the investigation of new fields including computer vision, time series, and generative AI.
