What the job involves

  • We are hiring for multiple openings across our consumer product teams! As a Product Manager at Robinhood, you’ll be responsible for leading teams to develop products that improve the everyday lives of our customers
  • You’ll work with experts in data, design, engineering, marketing, operations and research to bring ideas to life that will help us democratize our financial system
  • You’ll build products and features that will evolve Robinhood from being an investing service into a full-featured financial institution and that will grow the number of customers who are active on the platform
  • You’ll be responsible for helping to craft a compelling and coordinated product vision and strategy —pushing the envelope on what tomorrow’s experiences will be for millions of customers who are taking an active role in their financial lives
  • Work with engineering, design, research, data science and marketing to better understand our customers and their most pressing needs
  • Establish a product vision and shared set of priorities across the team and the company, which meet the most important needs of our customers
  • Develop deep expertise on the economics of our product suite and use that to guide the team’s roadmap and strategy
  • Ensure products are delivered on time with an extremely high bar for quality of experience
  • Working with communications, content and marketing teams to launch products that are easy to understand and use

But Robinhood's not just about quick thrills. The company claims its mission lies in catering to "the unmet needs of the next generation," evidenced by its "Robinhood Retirement" launch, targeting gig-economy workers often excluded from financial planning. This commitment to accessibility aligns with its core values.

However, 2023 brought unexpected turbulence, as Robinhood became entangled in the FTX cryptocurrency exchange bankruptcy scandal when it emerged that the US Department of Justice seized hundreds of millions of dollars of the company's shares tied to FTX founder Bankman-Fried.
